Before I took the plunge on having an EV EVSE (charger) installed in my house I did lots of research. After watching YouTubes, I didn't know that not all electric contractor companies qualifies in installing chargers especially when working with at least 48 amp chargers. In September 2022 I hired Brda Electric to install 2 GFCI outlets in my kitchen. When I made the appointment I advised they needed to pull electrical permits per the County. The work was completed, but I was told that **** handles permits. It took almost a month just to get Brda to email me my receipt for the work I paid for. Over the course of several months, numerous phone calls, emails, and finally text messages with **** himself, the permit was just pulled in late March 2023. Brda installed 4 CAT 5e ethernet drops on 3 levels of my house and an additional circuit. They worked very hard to see how to install the drops with no exterior wires and only had to put one hole in our walls, which fortunately was in the garage. Most of their behind the wall fishing they were able to accomplish by removing and then replacing electrical sockets already in the house. We had a sudden outage of electricity in two rooms of our house, not the entire room - but outlets in both, as well as a light and vent fan that just suddenly stopped working. Although my husband is somewhat handy, he could not find the problem. After calling 4 companies in the STL region BRDA Electric was the first to say they would try to come same day! 1.5 hours later they called to say an electrician was on his way! We just closed on a house in South County, I contacted them to install a few DATA runs for my new home. Turns out, they were the company the seller's agent contacted to fix a few electrical problems after the the home inspection as well. I figured, I may as well have them do as much work as possible since they were already here for those issues. They changed all fluorescent lights to LEDs, added a new LED light and switch in our furnace room, installed a ceiling fan electrical box, and, installed those data lines that I need... read more
Extremely disappointed to say the least. Felt mislead 100% & and didn't follow through with what was offered.
RecommendedWe used Brda Electric two different times based on recommendations from our contractor. The electricians they sent were professional, friendly, and listened to what we needed. One made recommendations that were better than what we had envisioned and even saved a bit on the cost. We will definitely use them again.
Great service and wonderful attention to detail. Their tech, Frankie, was friendly, kept us well informed, did an excellent job professionally and aesthetically, and took into consideration our requests. BRDA will be the only call I make when I need an electrician in the future.
