I ran my first half marathon a couple days ago after telling myself for YEARS that I could never run and was built for lifting instead. When I started to get serious about training, the people at Brazos Running Company not only helped me find the right shoes for me (which goes a LONG ways on race day), they gave me extremely helpful hints and suggestions about running in general, all of which I used to train for and run the half. Stopped by today looking for a shoe size (8.5 Regular) another sporting goods store didn't have. As soon as I walked in, the lady at the counter was ready and willing to help me. I told her about my shoe, they had the shoe I wanted (in multiple colors). I asked whether the shoe was the right shoe for my running needs (support for overpronation), the sales associate had me walk a bit and she instantly recognized what I was talking about. This was my first time shopping at BRC & it was a great experience! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door & Elliot helped me find the perfect pair of shoes. He watched how my feet hit the ground when I walked & came back with 4 pairs of shoes for me to try on. I had always bought Nike's but today I left with my first pair of Asics! I really appreciated his help today & will definitely be back!
