I trained there while on vacation and it was a great learning experience in a mature setting where I didn't feel like people were trying o staple the vsitor to he mat.
Went over there for the holidays and it is an amazing school. Professor Reyes is an outstanding teacher and the students there are great. If you are going to PR for vacation and want to practice BJJ, this is the school that you want to go.
Guys this place is awesome all around the instructor is very knowledgeable and honest and now a brother to me . I'm a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under fight sports Daytona under Master Todd Cutler and highly recommend this place
I have trained in countless cities in the US and abroad, and as a purple belt and gold medalist, I feel qualified to say BJJ Puerto Rico is an excellent academy. Carlos Reyes and his students were very welcoming. We did one hour of technique and one hour of rolling - a great format! I valued Carlos' teaching style and regard it as philosophical. I strongly recommend visiting. From Old San Juan, catch any bus to Corazon station, then catch the train to Roosevelt. Walk a couple blocks.
This is a wonderful place with wonderful people. I showed up out of the blue with my wife to do some Jiu Jitsu training and everyone was so welcoming and kind to us. We got in some great training and learned a bunch of new tricks. If you're ever in San Juan trust me this is the only place to learn martial arts at. TWO THUMBS UP!
While on vacation we had an opportunity to do a seminar here, it was truly a welcoming Academy. . Anyone looking to train BJJ, I highly recommend this Academy. They care about their students on and off the mat!!! Thank you for your hospitality! Stay Blessed.
