Menu said 12$ but then came up to the counter and was charged 17$. It ended up being $21 after the tip. The meal was big, but was pure rice, beans, and a dry meat with a tiny sauce. Lacked the attention to detail, or flavor that would make us feel okay about spending 20 bucks in that. All good and I appreciate the struggle, but the owner needs to rethink things a bit. The vegan “Dulce de leche” absolutely has to just be the canned sweetened coconut milk. There are claims that it is so pale due to it being vegan but sugar is going to caramelize whether it’s vegan or not. I’ve personally made vegan dulce de leche at home (from scratch and from the can) and both have gotten a golden brown color. I previously refrained from commenting about this disappointing experience, but the business (ifykyk) clearly enjoys taking Vegans money and making fun of them for it.
