About this business
History:The Braun family have lived and farmed in this area for over 170 years. In that time, we have grown corn, wheat, soybeans, apples, peaches, pumpkins and cucumbers. In 1986, we moved from our family homestead on Whitmore Lake Road to the present address here on Warren Road. In the spring of 1988 we planted 30,000 evergreen seedlings and in 1996, we realized our first full harvest of 6'-8' Christmas Trees' In the intervening years we have replanted and added new fields. RecommendedBeen cutting our Christmas tree down at Braun’s for years. Great local family owned business.
We came 15 minutes before closing and they told us we couldn’t cut our traditional tree because they were closing. Our kids (4 & 6) cried as we left and the staff didn’t seem to care while they blared 80s music. We’ve come here every year to cut down our tree, but we end up paying $70-$80 for a pretty short, scrawny tree. We came back this year because of tradition but we’re starting a new tradition next year and going somewhere else.
The employees are so friendly and helpful! One of them took me back to the burn pile in their new Kabota to let me get some branches for my window boxes!
It’s a Christmas tree. The staff was speedy and friendly. Looks like the owners gave up about 10 years ago. Had a hard time finding something that only Charlie Brown could love. Probably better farms in the area.
