The key to my Subaru frequently wouldn't come out of the ignition when I turned off the car. I took it to Liberty Subaru in Libertyville (where I purchased it in 2016) and they could not find the problem. Their service advisor said they couldn't get a computer code reading to tell them the problem. So...as my warranty was about to run out, I drove out to Gary Lang to see if they could help. Dishonest and disappointing would be the concise way to sum up my last visit to Carbone. It will take much longer to give the full details. I had previously bought 3 new cars from this dealership and this would have been my 4th. We worked with salesman Jimmer Kisselburgh and he was terrific! Yesterday, 7/1/22, me and my fiancé (both active duty Navy) were traveling from Virginia Beach, VA to Nebo, NC. While passing through Durham, NC suddenly our 2015 Outback broke down leaving us stranded on the side of the road. I had set up an appointment to drive a 2020 Subaru Legacy at Gary Lang Subaru. I drove 2+ hours to get there last Tuesday evening. I had originally called their toll free number from my work over my lunch but when I called back to set up the showing, I gave Cora my cell phone number, too, and emphasized wanting to know the actual car I wanted to drive and mostly likely buy that evening would be there. Beware, this place is fraudulent in billing and will double the rate they quote you. Brought a car here for service and was told the work would take 4 hours at $153 an hour for labor. Upon receiving the bill I was charged for 7 hours of labor. While I understand that the shop has set times for each task, the total time (7 hours) was never provided to me prior to billing.
