Brandt beef tallow has a strange texture. When I opened the container there was actually a sheet of what looked like shiny plastic across the top. I thought it was a white plastic seal until I cracked through it to find it was the product that had sealed itself! How does that happen? I tried cooking a small batch of fries with it, but the tallow had a thick consistency which did not melt properly in my mouth. Brandt beef tallow feels like plastic. When I opened the container there was actually a sheet of what looked like shiny plastic across the top. I thought it was a white plastic seal until I cracked through it to find it was the product that had sealed itself! How does that happen? I tried cooking a small batch of fries with it, but the tallow had a thick consistency which did not melt properly in my mouth. I wasted my money on this and am concerned that it is not 100% beef. It is too much like plastic.
