I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Evans. He treated me for hemifacial spasms and gave my life back! I didn't know how debilitating they were until I had the surgery. He spent time and answered my questions, and advocated for me where my insurance was concerned. I was apprehensive because it was brain surgery. Dr Evans is a top notch surgeon that Arkansas is lucky to have.

While I can't speak to this doctor's surgery capabilities, I can speak to his complete lack of empathy toward patients. A friend of mine visited this doctor after receiving a very alarming MRI scan indicating a very large tumor. Dr Evans basically said this tumor is inoperable and to come back in two weeks after he gets back from vacation. This news was gut wrenching & soul sucking. After having the suggested MRI, I had a nurse call me with results saying it has to do with your old surgery. Continue with therapy and with your pain management doctor. Zane Grimes (Physicians assistant) does not need to see you. Well, that upset me because I think he should have at least called me back in, sat down with me, explain the MRI and and maybe some suggestions as to what or where I could go from here. Dr. Evans is, by far, the BEST neurosurgeon our family has met, to date. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate & very kind to both patients & their families. The staff at the outpatient neurosurgery clinic is exceptional as well. WRMC has “World Class” neurosurgery care. The same can be said for the emergency room at Washington Regional.
