I've been seeing Dr. Mines for my knee and he was very good at explaining what he thought was wrong, was patient, and listened to everything I had to say. He diagnosed me with patellar tendinitis and focused on giving me physical therapy, which helped initially, but then I my pain and issues began to worsen. In my next visit, he felt the issue was still the same and recommended that I see another PT and go with a different approach with the exercises, but also mentioned that I could get an MRI done. I chose Dr. Mines because both him and I were Madison Wisconsin medical school alumni and UW medical school had good reputations. Well, I was very disappointed. His bed side manner was mild but somehow he seems to pay more attention to training medical students than patient. He prescribed an X ray on my knee problem and that was it. After weeks of no effects, I went to see another physician and received MRI and had proper diagnosis.

I've seen Dr. Mines twice for an injured leg, and he's exceptional. The xrays indicated arthritis in my other knee and he gave me advice and exercises for both knees. Very thorough, kind and compassionate. It sucks to get older but good medical care helps.

I am a new patient with Dr mines. I've found both Dr mines and his staff professional and through. The office environment seems professional and Dr mines assistants are first class. Dr mines listened to my concerns and did not make me feel rushed our dismiss my concerns. I'm am Happy that I got him as my doctor since I was referred to his office thru the emory system.

The nurse that came in first did the assessment and was very thorough. She listened to my complaints and did a comprehensive test of my joints. She found that I had inflammation in my elbows that I didn't know about. Dr. Mines was kind and patient. I took away a star because he was supposed to call me with a recommendation for a physical therapist in my town (I currently live in FL) and he did not. I had to call his office and I finally got a call back after 3 weeks that he doesn't have a rec.
