We had a 7:00 PM reservation for three at Bramble & Brine in Lewes, DE, and arrived about 10 minutes early. We were told our table wasn't ready because the previous party hadn't left yet, but that they should be leaving soon. We waited patiently while other parties with 7:00 PM reservations were seated, and then watched a party with a 7:15 PM reservation get seated ahead of us as well. Spicy mango wings- really underwhelming. Barely any flavor, really just tasted 1 notch out of 10 above plain wings. They also came out in about 3 minutes, not hot at all, and dryer than they should be. Had to have been sitting there for a while before we ordered Tuna tartare- not bad, but the tart shell/crust it is served in does the rest of the plate/dish a huge disservice. It was a bit stale and should have pastry cream & fresh fruit in it. Not diced tuna. It doesn't work. Nice presentatiion, but...
Celebrating a milestone 40th wedding anniversary. Couple seated near us were celebrating their 1st. Shout out for their kindness for paying for our wine. Food, service and atmosphere Was good. Sorry to hear the restaurant is relocating early next year.
Lovely first dining experience here. We got the deviled eggs, short rib and scallops. All were incredible but the scallops were a standout. We waited a tiny bit longer than expected for service, but to be expected at dinner time during high season. We were seated in the glass room - you can’t make a reservation for that room specifically but they were happy to accommodate us when we called ahead day of. We will absolutely be back!
