Don't lie to customers. I tried to get a rotor ground there. They lied to me 3x about when they would have it done, then when I finally showed up to pick it up, lied again and said there wasn't enough left to grind so they couldn't do it. I have done that for a living and miked it myself, so I know there was plenty of rotor left. If you're unable or unwilling to do a job, don't waste customers' time by lying to them. Just say no.

On two different occasions I have walked into Brakes Plus and both times was faced with the same guy at the front desk. He’s exceptionally unfriendly, rude, and makes you feel unwelcome. I asked if they had time today for an oil change or could I make an appointment for later today and was told “well are you gonna leave your car!?” I asked, “can I not wait, Will it take a long time?” To which he unprofessionally responded “I have a lot of cars back there for people who actually made appointments.” Who speaks that way to thei... read more

My daughter dropped her car at Brakes Plus, 222 N 48th St in Lincoln this morning to have the power steering rack replaced. She had an appointment, Brakes Plus had from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to fix her car. At 4:45 Brakes Plus calls and tells her the car won’t be done today. SORRY!!! 4:45! Who does that??? She has no way home, she needs to go to work tomorrow, she is supposed to drop me off and Brakes Plus just leaves us hanging. Last night my car battery went out as we were dropping off some things at our new house on Aubrey. I ended up calling this local shop to see if they could help us. It was already getting dark and cold out. Steven came right over to help and got it started. He called the guys at the shop to ensure they had a replacement battery for us and then had his guys stay open for us to give a new battery. They were so kind and stayed past closing time to help us. Shout out to Brakes Plus! It’s Friday the 13th and yours truly gets a flat tire. Thankfully the Hubby got Road Hazard insurance through Breaks Plus. I thought the warrantee might be a gimmick and they would deny our claim, but not the case. Apparently my tires were worn on the tread anyway. They replaced the tire and gave us credit towards the other 3 tires. We walked out paying $500 for four brand new SUV tires. Not bad! Maybe even a blessing in disguise!

Needed my CV joint replaced. They said it’d be $240 and when I returned to pick it up it came to $300. Even the manager came out and didn’t do anything. Excluding the $20 for tax, that’s still $40 more than what we were quoted. Poor job on the managers side. Should’ve honored the quote we were given instead of trying to say that’s not what we were quoted.
