Took my stepson's 4Runner here for a rear brake issue. Problem was diagnosed as an axle seal failure. Axle seal was replaced, and a full brake job (front and rear) was completed as well. As part of the rear axle seal job, I was told that the backing plate was bent during the repair. I was assured that would not cause any issues. After the vehicle was driven for 1 day, the rear brakes seized up and had to be towed back to the shop. I was told that the brakes were just adjusted too tight, and the issue was resolved.
