I lived there in the mid 1980's when it converted. It was one of the early condo conversions in NYC, instead of co-op. Confused everyone at the time. I remember seeing the original floorplans from when it was built in the early 1900's. Had 4 units per floor, thus the rounded turrets on each corner. Chopped up to about 12 per floor post WW2 like so many buildings. You could see what was once grand hallway entrances to apts now split into 3 doors and hallways.
