Derek has always been somewhat nice to me, but his apartments are in terrible shape. Stayed in them for many years and a lot of things are falling apart. Put in multiple work orders to be told nothing they could do. They are supposed to be responsible for plowing and shoveling but that never gets done, only happened when I called multiple times about it. The rent is insanely overpriced. Pretty typical college town slum lord. If you want reasons to not rent from this guy, ask any former MTU student. 90% of us have rented from this god fearing moron. Friendly at first but don't expect to get your deposit back.
