I was dropped from my insurance co of 35 years for moving to a fire zone. Luckily my new insurance required a new valuation on my valuable jewelry (not much!) back in January. I needed an updated appraisal of my 19 year old engagement ring. After some research, I chose Mr. Martin because all he does is appraise- no buying or selling. I am so glad I made this choice! He made an appointment, had me look through the pricing index, look at the stone through the microscope, and the ring was never out of my view. I learned a lot about my own ring and the market, and I feel confident with the appraisal I left with. I should have done this years ago!
We had such a pleasant experience as we interacted with Bradley Martin, (who is an on campus trained GIA gemologist) while he did our appraisals, allowing us to see our gems through his microscope and showing us the actual measurements he was taking. Being present during the appraisal gave us peace of mind with the bonus of it being very informative. My husband and I would highly recommend him.

If I could give zero stars...I would have!!! I bought a lab grown emerald from a VERY reputable second generation owned local jeweler (my family has been going there for 30 years) for $447.00 gem is papered in 2017. This guy said it was worth only $25.00. I also had the ring appraised for $85.00 from the same jeweler in 2017 before I replaced the gem.
