I was hospitalized at Boys Town in Omaha in the late 1990s. Out of all the foster homes, group homes, and other facilities I was placed in during my childhood, this was the one that added significantly to my trauma. They had a unit for troubled teens, and the policies and procedures practiced there were, in my opinion, unacceptable and inhumane. They had what they called a "seclusion room" — an empty, all-white room with a hard floor. It was cold, with several locks on the outside of the door and a camera mounted in the corn... read more
So you just delete bad reviews? I'm giving one star for the kind, pleasant and supportive nurses, CNAs and lab staff who cared for me during my recent cataract surgery. The rest of the experience was absolutely horrifying and I now have PTSD from it. I was told to be NPO for anesthesia at midnight fr a 14:15 surgery time. We checked in at 12:05 and then waited. Instead of being treated like a struggling kid who needed guidance and understanding, I w... read more
The billing here is horrible. For 2 MONTHS they missed the fact that they did not accept my insurance, and everything seemed fine. They said they accepted my insurance and billed it accordingly. Then out of nowhere they hit me with thousands of dollars in bills, saying that they don't actually take my insurance. I would not have incurred these bills had I known my insurance wasn't accepted, and they kept sending bills even months after we left and found care elsewhere.
