This organization did not do a good job informing Clay County parents of site closures. Parents were informed a week before school started that there would be no club. Boys and Girls Club should've given prior notice that there would be a possibility of closure, so that parents could've had a backup plan. As a parent, I'm disappointed in the lack of communication. You know they are ghetto it's a club what do I expect LMAO I seen things kids shouldn't see lol fun activities sometimes I Ani't a people person of course so of course I only went there for lunch and snacks and tried to stay inside most of the time or outside on the brick wall unless I wanted to annoy someone liked a activity or tried to make friends just to have something to do and if I wanted something from them we just played all day and of course I was forced to finish my homework before play time and I gave the annoyin... read more
Who is over this raggedy establishment. You don’t accept a child then turn around and say oh we have too many children. That means someone didn’t do their job properly. Even if a spot opens up I wouldn’t send my child here.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing and unnecessarily stressful for my family. My child was initially accepted into this summer program, and based on that official acceptance, I made summer arrangements and planned accordingly. As a single mother, securing reliable childcare is not easy, and being informed less than two weeks before summer begins that my child was being moved to a waitlist due to over-enrollment created an incredibly difficult situation.
