These guys know their Subarus and are timely with scheduling and completing work when they say they will. My impression is that they are very honest with prices quoted and tell it to you straight in terms of whether you really need to get work done or not.
I brought my car into Boxer to have them do an oil change – here is what the bill lists as services they perform during an oil swap: Lubricate and check chassis, change oil and filter, check air filter and breather filter. These guys do great work on our Subaru. They also have a dog that will sometimes greet you at the desk!
I brought in my STI to get the thermostat and water pump replaced for general maintenance. The price was fair and they finished it very quickly, but once I got the car back it started overheating! There was nothing wrong with the car when I gave it to them. I ended up burping the air out of the coolant system which fixed the issue, but that is an integral final step the shop should have done before giving me back my car, I would’ve thought at the very least they’d test drive it to make sure it wouldnt overheat after installi... read more
