I just arrived after driving 6 hours from Myrtle Beach. I called to insure A Smith Bowman Distillery was open. I had the pleasure to talk to Mr Jeff Kruger on the phone who told me the distillery was open and to drop by. I decided my first stop enroute to my Northern Virginia destination was A Smith Bowman’s Distillery. Mr Kruger was very courteous and helpful to the offerings of the distillery. Shelly, our tour guide was absolutely amazing! The best bourbon tour we've been on, so informative. I was absolutely amazed at the details & history. The tasting was sublime & I'm not a bourbon lover, but today....I became one! Loved the small batch, so smooth & the bourbon cream(caramel) was yumyumyum!
