The primary reason the center was closed was because it no longer met the minimum standards for the Americans with Disabilities Act. The upgrades to bring the property in compliance were going to be well over $2 million, primarily because the entire parking lot would’ve had to have been replaced, along with all of the additions that would have been needed on the building itself, including all new doors and ramps at all three entrances. Was a really cool house to bowl league at, and great for the occasional tournaments that were here. It is a real shame to see it go, but you had to know that when AMF/Bowlmor/Bowlero took over, the days were numbered. Shout out to all the great house bowlers who stayed there until the end. You are to be commended, and should you come on over to Cityview, there are leagues needing full teams, and some needing just 1 or 2 bowlers. REMEMBER: There are no STRANGERS in Bowling. Only FRIENDS that we have YET TO MEET.
