This facility and the staff are an absolute joke. Website and Alberta health Services both have this listed as a 24 hour emergency facility. However when you show up with an emergency, that's when you find out they don't even have a doctor and haven't since March, and shouldn't even be listed as a "hospital" never mind a 24 hour emergency facility. Just pathetic.

This place is a joke. Don't get sick in Bow Island!! I have just returned home from trying to see a doctor at the emergency room. I have a history of heart problems and severe anemia, and I have dizziness, shortness of breath and chest pain as we speak. I went to the emergency room and got turned away and told THERE IS NO DOCTOR!! When I asked what I am supposed to do, I got told I had to drive to Taber or Medicine Hat....or they could call an ambulance for me (but I would still be responsible for the cost) An emergency room... read more

Bowisland doctors should go to school to learn how to read, my daughter was at the emergency a couple of weeks ago that doctor almost killed her she gaved her medicine for a 10 year old boy she messed up her chart with a 10 year old boy, those medicine was totally against her body she got very sick she almost got an anaphylactic shok,she came into taber hospital now she has to use strong medicine to fight the wrong medicine she got from bowisland hospital doctor out of her system ,who ever needs to go to the emergency DONT g... read more
