Not recommending anyone to go here. You won't get help. They will just call you stupid and tell you how stupid you are that you even went to the emergency. And then they told us they wouldn't charge us, or we would have to both work a few jobs just to pay the bill. And but then they still did charge us, even though we had a Health Card everything. So and we still didn't get no help, not at all, nothing.
This facility and the staff are an absolute joke. Website and Alberta health Services both have this listed as a 24 hour emergency facility. However when you show up with an emergency, that's when you find out they don't even have a doctor and haven't since March, and shouldn't even be listed as a "hospital" never mind a 24 hour emergency facility. Just pathetic.
This place is a joke. Don't get sick in Bow Island!! I have just returned home from trying to see a doctor at the emergency room. I have a history of heart problems and severe anemia, and I have dizziness, shortness of breath and chest pain as we speak. I went to the emergency room and got turned away and told THERE IS NO DOCTOR!! When I asked what I am supposed to do, I got told I had to drive to Taber or Medicine Hat....or they could call an ambulance for me (but I would still be responsible for the cost) An emergency room... read more
