Boundary waters outfitters were quite a disappointment with the price we paid. I hate to complain but I think what we saw and heard from others NEEDS to be made aware to people. Our trip started off with sleeping in the bunkhouse where a bug crawled out of the pillow on the bed I was sleeping on. Then on our first dinner meal the meal was EXPIRED. The food was like ration for two adults (Burning lots of calories canoeing) and we ended up eating up future days meals. This was a large issue as the lunches were like a small rat... read more
John, Peter, Ruth and Greta were all amazing! From our first inquiry to our exit, the experience was 10/10 all around. My husband and I had never done anything like this before, but the folks at BWO made it a breeze! They planned an excellent route for us, gave us great insight on good camp sites and great fishing spots. Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to a family emergency, but they were fantastic about it. We booked a trip with Boundary Waters Outfitters for our scout troop, the whole process was painless, they took care of all of our needs and had recommendations on how to make our trip better. There was plenty of food which kept our scouts happy. The staff were the kind of staff anyone should want working for them. They were personable, helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. The canoes, tent and packs all worked well and were in great condition. Your delivery of the equipment to Island River entry point was greatly appreciated and your driver met us there when we arrived.
