I was referred to Boundary Bay Vet by my regular vet for a consultation for a enlarged lymph node. I had a cytology test and a biopsy done that didn't indicate cancer. I consulted with an internist that referred me to the oncologist since she didn't think it was anything she could do. I consulted with the oncologist about what path to take. After my 3-year-old dog Felix got diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, we were in desperate need of a oncology vet who could help extend his life, manage his pain, and provide him with treatment plan. I did not get through the staff to see a doctor. It is unfortunate the quality of the staff deters emergency visits to animals needing assistance.

Update to my review about my 12yr old lab’s larynx tie back surgery. Miss Emma is now 13 and acting so much more lively than she did before surgery. I know this may not be the case for every pup but the staff at Boundary Bay gave us another year of sassiness, camping, walks, chasing squirrels, extorting treats and a little more raspy bossiness from our Emma. She is healthy and strong and isn’t too bothered about the lifestyle changes. Here’s hoping for as much time as we can get. I’m so glad we opted for the surgery instead ... read more
