Shayna has been the brightest light during a difficult time for our family. Our little guy did not make any progress with several EI therapists. He was delayed and we had no idea what he was saying. Five is not enough stars to truly convey how amazing Shayna is! Our son first began seeing Shayna just after his second birthday. He had been slow to begin saying any words at all and could mostly just produce vowel sounds, despite being of an age where we were expecting at least a limited vocabulary; certainly words such as 'mama' or 'dada'. Shayna is a truly gifted therapist. My two sons, both with a severe speech disorder, have been under the care of Boulder Speech Therapy since they were two and three years old. Now, at 6 and 8 years old they both just graduated! Prior to finding Shayna, the SLPs we'd worked with expressed doubt that my older son would ever be fully intelligible and indicated he would likely need speech therapy well into his teens. When we took our son to see Shayna, he was 2 years old and all he could say was "buh" to everything. In just 8 short months (1 hour per week), he now has age-appropriate speech. We are so grateful to have found Shayna; she completely changed his life trajectory for the better. She's knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly empathetic.
