The phone call was great nice and friendly. I haven't went yet.
I was a little hesitant because it’s a hair spendy but as soon as I got my order I could tell the portions were very liberal and I was in for a bunch of different flavors. So I was glad to pay it. I ordered sausage po boy and my wife ordered the shrimp po boy. We shared an order of raspberry beignets. My sandwich was loaded super high with sausage, onions and these beautiful tomatoes. I really enjoyed the food. Of course, the beignets were yummy too.
I ordered the Gumbo, Boudin and the Beignets. First and foremost, the roux in the Gumbo was burnt.. You can tell by the bitter aftertaste. No gumbo should ever have a bitter aftertaste, EVER! I then tried the Boudin. Why is the boudin served on onions and lettuce? There is NOBODY in the land of Louisiana that serves Boudin with onions. EVER!
