ER, I’m here with my mom, I really want to take her out of here. There is a guy black man attending who is rude and seems so bothered my out presence, my mom hit the assistance button, I watched him sit and ignore it even though we were directly across from him. My is in pain, throwing up anything oral and they gave her pills which came right back up, she sat longer in pain, finally the lady nurse got up out her chair and said they should be giving you IV fluids, REALLY! Absolutely the worst EC, this hospital helped my dad with his cancer treatment so I thought we would get the same care for my mother. Boy was I wrong. We took my mom in yesterday afternoon for severe depression and they have NOT done anything for my mom . They haven’t even given her, her regular medications after they called me at 6am to make sure they had the right dosage. We were told the a social worker would come talk to us after 10am. The ER staff got me in quickly, it was not busy, and everyone was helpful and friendly.
Great cancer center!
I had a very disappointing experience at this ER. I’ve been here for almost 3 hours, and the wait has been extremely long. There are so many people sitting in pain, yet it seems like people who arrived later are being taken back before those who have been waiting much longer. The lack of communication about the delays makes the experience even more frustrating. I understand emergencies are prioritized based on the severity of a patient’s condition, but from a patient’s perspective, the wait feels excessive and disorganized. ... read more
