I had a fantastic experience with Abby at Boston Hair Design. This was my first time seeing her, and I really appreciated how open and flexible she was from the start. Best place on Kauai to get your haircut. For a mens hair cut you probably need to call at least a few days ahead and reserve a time but you never know. If you need something more than a man's cut you may need to reserve a spot ahead of time. They will try to work with your timeline to fit you in asap. Highly recommend. Update to the update they moved locations to Harbor Mall. They look and feel of the new shop is on brand and feels welcoming yet with a little bit of poshness. Great location plenty of parking. If I could give this place more than five stars, I would! I called every single salon on island with the same message explaining what I needed help with and this place was the only place that texted me back with compassion and real help that same day. I was at the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit on Oahu and had a hospital bun. I had a lot of seizures within a short period of time which matted and dreaded my hair. Helena is a gem. I first came to her to fix a botched haircut from another salon, and she took the time to really understand what needed to be done. Not only did she fix it, she gave me an exceptional cut. After a recent cut, I reached out for a touch-up and was reminded just how thoughtful and skilled she is—the cut itself was already truly exceptional.
