Boston Children's literally saved my son's life after a local ER closer to us misdiagnosed him the night before. The entire team at BCH was wonderful and I will be forever grateful for their prompt, competent and compassionate care.
If you can get past the horrendous ED medical team, your child will be in great hands on the inpatient floor (RN, MD, etc are fantastic). My 2 month daughter's pediatrician requested us to immediately go to BCH ED when she tested positive for RSV. She was showing decreased alertness and responsiveness in the appointment. In a matter of hours, she was lethargic, harder to rouse, and refusing her bottles. It was Day 4 of her symptoms. The first doctor who came in was great.
