open for one more week then shutting down for good. R.I.P. to albuquerque’s best brewery, and to Mike Campbell. Delicious, dark malt relief from a world of redundant IPA’s. It’s not even autumn, and they have 3 dark beers on tap, heavy on the malt. The very approachable and sociable man pouring our Oarmeal Stout, Bock, and Scottish ale was also the brewmaster, with more than 20 years experience. Great place! Really a fun hangout with older arcade games and great beer. Try the Baltic porter!
Bossfight took over from the old Kilt Check/Drafty Kilt. Same solid quality of beer, plus a handful of arcade and pinball machines. I'd love to come back for karaoke, but I don't want to cause them to go out of business from the complaints about the sound of a cat being tortured.
