We had a poor experience at Boro last night. Myself and 5 others came here for dinner on our beach vacation after seeing decent reviews about it online. Initially, we ordered our food using their paper clipboard system and turned our ticket into the window, which did have the correct order information. One of our group members paid and then we realized as we were trying to repay her for our portion of the meal that our meal was rung up incorrectly. While waiting at the window to place order, saw an employee with bare hands grab a bunch of fries to plate them. Service very slow - wait staff said they only had one cook that day. The boil was ok, but not very well seasoned. Wait staff was friendly.

Used to be one of our favorites….no good anymore — (1) Slow (2) Boil had no seasoning (3) Forgot part of our order —> Called about a refund, put us on hold, never answered, and appears to have blocked my number.

The new ordering system is so dumb, loved the food here and the service before but good grief. Took 20 minutes just to hand in a piece of paper and then an hour to get our food, had to go ask for it. Keep the amoroso rolls, ditch the paper slip ordering

We called ahead with a group of 12 and were told they don't take reservations. We arrived and went into the restaurant and were told all tables were taken due to people with reservations. No one explained that the Boro restaurant and the Boro Low Country Kitchen were separate entities which they could have easily done when we called and requested reservations twice several days ahead of time.
