My Bf went after he was referred to him when HIS HEADACHES WERE SO EXTREME HE WAS LOSING HIS MIND... The Er said he a mass , once a referral got him TO HIS OFFICE , DR. MROVKOV looked at MRI AND DIAGNOSED CHIARI MALFORMATION .. and got him to CHAPELHILL ASAP FOR A DECOMPRESSION SURGERY, and it’s been a blessing .. btw there wasn’t a mass .🤦♀️. It was built up of spinal fluid..
Great knowledgable doctor ! Overall East European education is much better than American Medical school, which is based on selling drugs only and make pharmaceutical companies rich and never care about patients! Dr. Mravkov cares, He is looking in the root of the problem, thinking and trying to help, not just give you a strong pain killer and get rid of you!!!
Awful. Doesn't listen to patient. Didn't give me rescue meds for my migraines that I've had for 15 years. Gave me sample of one my insurance didn't cover and didnt work. Called back 3 times in week finally got call back to come in. Thought going to get meds. He wants to do nerve block. Which I've had 3 x before doesn't work. Didn't want to listen. Still no rescue meds. Now on day 11 of migraine and ER does nothing because they think everyone's a seeker. I've called back yet again yesterday and have heard nothing back.
I found him very helpful and patient. I thought it was odd when he sent me in for neck x rays as I was not feeling my pain there. However it confirmed that degenerative disc disorder was causing my nerves to be pinched.
He spent 5 minutes with me then said: "Yes, you need to see a Neurologist, we don't run tests here anymore, I'm going to refer you to another Neurologist... and the wait might be long." So I drove to, and paid for the appointment only to be passed to someone else who is booking months out. Do NOT waste your time with him, he doesn't seem to want to do his job. Plus Wilmington Health is dissolving the whole Neurology department.
