They deserve no stars. What an absolute shitshow. When we first called these guys they quoted us $2000 to rebuild our 2003 Mazda protege transmission. Bring it in and now it’s doubled to $4000. Fine, we need a transmission. Should have left right then and there. Took them several days to do, we had to travel an hour just to get to this place and then they’re like oh and we won’t sign the warranty until you come back in 2 weeks. This place was 1 of 4 shops that I had gone to to try and figure out what was wrong with my 2018 Ford fiesta hatchback. And let me tell you, they allowed me to step into their shop and go over my laundry list of concerns I had with my car. Making sure we went over all my concerns to ensure I had checked everything off, that might be what was causing my vehicle to vibrate at high speeds. Very friendly and honest! Will go back again when my car needs some tlc
I wanted to say how much we appreciated the help we got from Borderline Transmission yesterday. We had driven in from Grand Forks to do errands (drop off another vehicle that was being fixed at Ford) and one of our calipers went after coming down the hill from Rossland. So basically we were screwed unless we got this fixed before heading home. Borderline Transmission were able to get us in within the hour and fixed our truck right there on the spot. I have mixed feelings about my experience with Borderline Transmissions last year. We had transmission issues during a road trip across BC and left our vehicle with them as we rented a car to continue our trip. Borderline doesn't have any loaner vehicles, so we were fortunate that the one car rental place in Trail had something available. Good: 1. They seem quite friendly when you talk to them in person. 2.
