The carriage roads and scenic trails are perfect for spring, summer, and fall runs or walks. In the winter, the hill by the Ames Mansion is easily the best and most thrilling sledding spot for kids in the Sharon area(not crowded at all).It is also fantastic for family get-togethers! It's is a large park spread over forests in 3 towns, namely Sharon,Easton and Mansfield.Originally, the land and mansion belonged to Prof.Oakes Ames ( Botany Professor at Harvard University) and his wife Blanche, a renowned women activist.We were much impressed to see the building structure , it's drainage system, tennis courts, swimming pool, party stage and other landscaping, which existed 100+ years ago.
