I have been going to the Border Cafe for 30 years and never disappoints. Food is always great. Cajun popcorn shrimp and El Pablo fajitas with steak and shrimp are my go to's.
Food is always good here. Tex-mex style authentic Cajun taste that I can’t find anywhere else but during covid they took off so many dishes both veggie and non-veggie dishes that they never brought back like Veggie fajitas used to be my favorite but it’s no more there. Crawfish ottufe, , catfish fajitas, the big bean salad and other dishes.
Great place for margaritas and a very specific type of cuisine.
Update February 28, 2026 What the heck happened to portion sizes...this was a full size chicken and steak fajita. Pan was not sizzling and portion size was meant for a toddler. Insulting! Older review: They expanded their menu a tad which is great. I'm still hoping to see fried catfish come back on the menu. Fajitas are great but the onions that come with them are top notch...you can ask for extra onion but they put it on the side so best to share. The wait staff is always polite and competent.
