The first Dr. I saw in the ER never told me who he was so I'm just assuming he was a Dr. He just walked in asked me what was going on and when I tried to tell him my symptoms he cuts me off to tell me it's anxiety. I tried to explain to him that there was more going on when he cuts me off again to tell me it's just anxiety as he walks away. If it isn’t easy and show up on a scan don’t bother. Doctors don’t like to do actually investigative work no more. Had to beg a doctor 4 times to listen to my chest and he refused and told me bowel sounds in lungs and heart were completely normal!
I went into the ER on a Friday morning for a foot infection and didn't get released until the following Thursday. From the time I arrived at the ER to my entire stay in the hospital, everyone was friendly, very nice and warm and took excellent care of me. The staff is very professional, the docs are top notch. Dr. John Erickson was amazing, as well as the MRI tech that was there along with so many others who really took good care of me!

This is the only hospital I've ever been too that the nurses will make you question if your injury is even bad enough to go be seen for. I went in for major shoulder pain and loss of movement after the first nurse recommended me to go in, what did they do insult my manlyness and say Its not as bad as I say it is. We leave and go to Ames and boom it's a crack in my socket. So to put my review short, the Ames hospital is 20 minutes further if possible just go there.
