I've photographed numerous weddings at Boomrock Lodge over the past 14 years. It will always be my preferred Wellington location for a Wedding. The views are uniquely Wellington regardless of the weather on the day. Boomrock has constantly provided excellent service to wedding couples, guests and vendors alike, no request is too big or too difficult. I would highly recommend Boomrock to host your function! My colleagues and I spent an afternoon out there conducting some of their amazing activities they have on offer and then spent the evening enjoying a delicious dinner. The space is absolutely incredible and we were blessed with the most beautiful Wellington day! Nothing was an issue and all the Boomrock staff were so welcoming and looked after us very well. I recommend this venue to all!

First of all, the staff are very friendly and helpful, which we really appreciate. However, I don’t understand why the activities have to go ahead regardless of how bad the weather is. There’s no shelter at all, and the cowboy hat and non-waterproof jacket provided are not really helpful in heavy rain and wind. In such weather, it’s impossible to enjoy—we couldn’t see any scenery, and the road, which is already difficult to drive, became even more challenging.
