Unfortunately, I cannot justify giving Bookstore Movers any more than 2 stars. I hired Bookstore Movers this past week for a 1-bedroom move within DC from NoMa to Navy Yard. I discovered and decided to hire them due to their overwhelming positive reviews online (Reddit, Google, etc.), which is why this experience was extremely disappointing. Wow! Patrick and Renaldo were incredible! They came right on time, had everything ready, navigated a difficult alley, and packed and moved all my things quickly and efficiently. They even beat me to my new place. It was a breeze and easier than I could have ever imagined. Quick and fast - and accurate quote as well.

It's been years since I booked a moving service from Bookstore Movers for a 1b apartment. TL;DR: They did a fair and efficient job, but the workers were very rude and impatient. Won't recommend. I had only a couple of (~15) medium boxes, and was shouted at by a worker when I initially told them I have 12, and found a few left. He shouted "Hey listen, we can't do it if you keep having more boxes" (What??) And after they moved all boxes onto the truck, I was still moving some packed garbage (in boxes). Just here to add to the large amount of 5 star reviews. I had only heard good things about Bookstore Movers and they lived up to the reputation. I had a short distance move and my movers were kind, efficient, and caring with all of my items from start to finish. I can’t recommend them enough!
