Paul is a master of his craft, a loyal advisor to his customers with a lifetime of experience behind his guidance, and just a genuine good guy. Bonsai of Brooklyn is a classic New York institution and we should be proud to carry on the development of trees he has raised and trained. My visit was inspiring, I left with some true gems, and will certainly be back again!
It’s a local bonsai mini factory. Small but their sales must be incredible - Always new items and handmade by the talented and very polite owner. Definitely a brooklyn gem.
So helpful and such a great shop. I purchased a beautiful bonsai from this shop years ago and had some questions regarding the tree years later. He was so kind and knowledgable. Got my tree back to perfect thanks to all his help. Would highly reccomend. A+
My in-laws were visiting from out of town and are excited about bonsai. As directed, they made an appointment and went down with my spouse to visit—note that the space is his home. They said that Paul was very kind and knowledgeable, and eager to share knowledge. They were impressed by the size of his collection, and said that he went above and beyond to lend them umbrellas on a rainy day. Definitely a must-visit for any bonsai fan.
Bonsai of Brooklyn is a fascinating destination where living art and horticultural heritage merge. Some bonsai are over 50 years old, thoughtfully cultivated across generations. I was inspired to imagine a banyan or coconut tree as a bonsai. The legacy here awakens curiosity and deep appreciation for these miniature trees and their stories.
