Reserved a truck at a close location, then they send me across town to actually get the truck at another location. Had the truck for 4 hrs and dropped it off After-hours at 8 pm. Put the keys in the drop off box. Next day then send me a bill for 2 days rental. Also included numerous fees like an After-hours service charge of $21, Fuel charge of $9 even though I put gas in the truck and the needle was more than it had when I picked it up. I'm not sure if I can leave no stars but you need to be able to minus some. I suffer from a bad back and it is obvious I am not in good shape. The gentleman I was with is handicapped. When picking up the truck we had to walk over 500ft in pouring rain to get to the truck, we did our own walk through in the rain, no employee around. Had to go to the office to get the dollie we had rented and put it in the truck ourselves which was a struggle. Terrible experience on 2 of my recent 3 U Haul rentals. The Calgary locations are participating in aggressive Bait and Switch strategies. After initial booking and confirmation, the terms of pricing, and drop off locations were materially changed within a day of service, leaving me, the customer in a compromised situation. It was difficult to communicate with the staff at **** *********** *** ******** ** ***** location. I was constantly threatened over the phone live and via voicemail and in person about how I was stealing the truck and the police were notified by the agent at the store, who is no longer working there.
