Ordered the chicken katsu and the pork belly bao. Took few bites of each and even though we were very hungry we threw them in the trash. They just tasted gross

We ordered a takeout meal, so can't really attest to the eat in experience. Ordered soy garlic and kbbq wings and drumstick. Enough chicken for 3 people, if not four. Plus if you make rice or veggies at home it could for sure turn into a great full meal. Chicken had a good crunch to it, though I wish the flavors were stronger.
We were unaware of an 18% service fee until our whole party was sat down and they gave us this modified menu with that detail added in deliberately and manually. We were not told about this fee when we told them our party size and it was not listed on the front desk menu. This is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. This preys on the “We already sat down and they brought us our water and brought the tables together let’s just eat it’s okay!” mindset and they are not even trying to hide it. Absolutely atrocious service here. Deception regarding the price and 18% SERVICE FEE??? I’m totally fine with paying that amount if they made it clear that it was 18%. Front menu and the menu they give you when you sit is totally different. Never coming back here again. So many better places to eat than this sorry establishment. The workers should feel absolute SHAME for tarnishing the name of bonchon for me forever.
