My parents were one of the first residents in BV when it opened in 2016 as my father needed memory care because of his constant wandering, so my mother went into the independent living and spent every day with my dad there in memory care until he died in 2019. When my mom started showing signs of the same dementia symptoms we moved her to memory care where we thought she would be well taken care of, but she is basically ignored and the price more than doubled. This place is a complete disgrace to senior care. Bonaventure has no dedicated RN on staff—and hasn't for nearly a year (or longer!). The care team is untrained, overworked, and clearly thrown into the fire without proper preparation. This isn't just a one-off situation either—it’s a pattern. Memory care was a nightmare. Shortage of staff, very high turnover, untrained staff, management over promises and most often doesn't deliver what was promised. Laundry service horrible, food sub par, building maintenance horrible, filthy rooms, false documentations by staff, they DO NOT FOLLOW CARE PLANS. Please check with State records before CONSIDERING this facility.

I could not speak more highly of Mandy. My bonus mom was laying in a bed in the Kaiser ER hallway and needed placement ASAP. She was a the hospital with 45 minutes assessing her. She spend 2 hours working with her and even left a blanket to keep her warm. By 6:30 that night, she had been assessed, transported and moved into the facility. Her compassion, empathy and support were exactly what we needed.
