Fell on ice broke my wrist. When I arrived the staff were quick to address my pain and got me wrapped up and discharged with instructions to get me to a specialist.
We were seen quickly but that’s about where the good ended. The doctor was more concerned with with I hadn’t pumped my child with ibuprofen for a mild fever before addressing the reason we were there. Pretty daunting that a doctor practicing medicine doesn’t understand the purpose of the fever in the human body.
I went in for extreme pain and the fact that I hadn’t slept for almost 9 days. The doctor really didn’t ask me a lot of questions. He kept saying though that people don’t show up to the emergency room at three in the morning for pain. He kept asking why I was really there, even though I kept telling him why. I was excused to leave with no relief given. Grateful that I was seen by somebody else the following day who actually listened to me and was able to diagnose me properly.
