The maternal fetal medicine team at Bon Secours were wonderful in caring for me and my pregnancy during a difficult time. The ultrasound techs, Dr Kumar, and our genetic counselor Jennifer were all incredibly skilled, accommodating, and compassionate. They saw me in a timely manner and worked me in to their busy schedules to help give my husband and I the answers we needed in regards to progressing with the pregnancy. Very grateful for their care and expertise.
Nurses and technicians are wonderful. I didn't like the inconsistency with the high risk doctors. I went there like 6 times and I saw two different doctors and two different nurse practitioners. It was hard to establish communication and trust if you don't see the same provider.
I went here to get my anatomy scan and a few more scans during my first pregnancy, and the nurses/ultrasound techs were amazing; however, the doctors I saw were MEAN. The first doctor I saw talked down to me during my conversation with her, and one of the later doctors told me that because I’m overweight, my baby would be overweight too. She was full term and 7 lbs 9 oz, so he was just wrong and shaming me for being overweight. I love St. Francis as a hospital, would not go back to this perinatal center in the future.

Use to be VCU medical team with my previous pregnancy. Just recently went and they transferred over to their own Bon Secours team. I do not care for the doctor that I saw. She skipped over us purposely cause she thought we would be of longer of her time and I was the first patient there that morning. Took her 50 minutes with other patient and then finally came in and talked with us. For some really weird reason she told me to start taking a medication that I did not need to be taking per my normal OBGYN instructions as I do ... read more
