I can’t believe the bad reviews on this shop. I was referred to Boly’s shop through a friend who brought me in to see a barber who just hooked him up and that barber couldn’t take me as a client so Boly told me to go to Smelyn and I’ve been going to him for a couple years now. This barbershop is small but mighty and the quality of cuts is top tier. I have never left unhappy. All the barbers there are friendly and value you as a client. They are LGBTQ+ friendly as well so that takes the anxiety out of going to the barbershop.... read more

I’ve been seeing a couple negative reviews on which I don’t understand if you see how the shop is you should know each barber have their individual clients and the boss him self I’ve been going to him for 10 years before he open his own shop you have to respect the fact that this is a business and people form relationships with their barbers so when they say they have appointments is cause on each individual chair if you look on the mirror there is a number so if you like they work and respect there business he can be your b... read more

This shop is unprofessional. After years of loyalty, I was suddenly blocked with no explanation. Communication is terrible and the lineups are not sharp they come out curvy and sloppy. I wouldn’t trust them with my hair. Save yourself the headache and find a real barber.

I’ve been bringing my sons here for over a year and we always appreciated the convenience and service. Unfortunately, things have changed recently. Now you’re required to book with a specific barber, and if you’re even five minutes late, they complain and won’t take you. I can understand the importance of being on time, but it feels unreasonable considering a haircut slot is around 30–35 minutes. I’ve been a regular customer here for years now and they still have the audacity to tell me that even when there’s quite literally nobody in their shop that they’re waiting for “appointments”, as another reviewer mentioned there’s no way to make an appointment unless it’s with an individual barber, and since when is that practical?
