It was difficult to find a siding contractor (in the Harrisburg area) who was both experienced and willing to replace our old cedar shake siding with new cedar siding. Our house was built in the early 1950s and I wanted to keep the style comensuraate with the Cape Cod design that it came in. Everyone today wants to use vinyl, because it is cheaper and quickly put up.
