My daughter was on the Hawaii trip. The entire group was miserable due to the activities on the intenary getting canceled. The zipline never happened and there was no active replacement. Most of the hikes got canceled and the ones that didn't were more of walks. The counselors were so overprotective that the kids could not take their shoes off even on the sandy beaches. My daughter just completed her third trip with Bold Earth, and I cannot recommend this program highly enough! One of the greatest benefits is the true digital detox, which my daughter actually loves. Being away from her phone allows her to fully engage with the world, build genuine friendships from scratch, and learn vital life lessons she cannot easily learn at home. The Bold Earth team exceeded our expectations! They were great with our students! They also worked closely with our adult team and made adjustments as needed to better meet our needs. The programing was what we were envisioning and met the goals of our trip.
Our 8th Grade students had an amazing time in Yosemite with Bold Earth. The team behind the scenes were all so helpful and supportive, and the on the group team/camp leaders were awesome with the kids. Highly recommend.
