I have been with Dr. GELA for over 20 years and she's the best! I am shocked to read some of the negative reviews because that has definitely not been my experience. The wait times tend to be a little excessive at times but I have learned eays to work around the issue ( first appt of the day , or when shes less busy). She has called me during the evening hours, or over the weekend, so I am really perplexed with some of the reviews. I won't minimize others experience but grateful mine has been positive! Can never get her on the phone, I have to fight for my birth control refills which doesn’t make sense since I’m on an everyday dosage. Also having to wait a year for an appointment any other before appointment problems I must see someone else
I wouldn’t recommend this doctor. She doesn’t review patients lab result's nor does she check the doctor notes on specialists appointments. Horrible at communicating with patient. A few times I’ve requested over mychart for her to call me regarding some concerns and each time it was a nurse returning the calls not her, even after asking the nurse if she can have Dr Gela call me she still didn’t return the call.
