Body Art Expo decided to step into the Anime side of conventions this last weekend 4/19-4/21 at the LA convention center. As a vending artist for the anime side, I'm highly disappointed in this event. Many vendors and artists booked this event on the (over the phone) basis of 10k+ tickets already sold and an expected attendance of 30k+. Anime nation fest that was a part of this was a total scam. If I could give zero stars I would
At best these people provide easily the worst possible experience for fans of tattooing or anime, at worst these people are scam artists out to steal people's time and money. I was one of the artist alley vendors for the Anime Nation & Tattoo expo on 4/19/2024 thru 4/21/2024. With a quick google search you can probably find TikToks, Reddit posts or other social media platforms that covered this event and the catastrophe that ensued. Anime nation fest weekend of 04/19-21 all three days where so empty despite being told they sold 13k tickets. The price for a table is the same as anime expo that takes up the whole hall when they only rented the smallest hall and shoved everything in here. Poorly run and an out right scam for both vendors and attendees
