I recently had a significant home owners claim and contacted my agent who told me to contact the insurance company directly. I eventually got the claim settled with the company without any assistance from the agent, it or agency. I never even received a courtesy call on the status or offer to assist from the agent or agency. Very disappointing. Proof of an agency is how they handle their clients’ claims… not how they collect premiums.
