I remember watching the Bob Newhart Show on TV Saturday nights on CBS. They used the apartment for footage. Most of the time, it was filmed on a sound stage in Hollywood, California. This is a beautiful afternoon long ride from Navy pier and back. It’s a great ride with lots of sightseeing and people watching. I have been wanting to see where Bob and Emily Hartley lived for the past 40 years. I was thrilled and not many young people know that the bronze statue on Navy pier is Bob Newhart.
